Our John Innes Potting Compost No. 1 is produced exactly to the blend designed in the 1930’s at the John Innes Horticultural Research Institute.
John Innes No. 1 is ideal for pricking-out or potting-up young seedlings or rooted cuttings. This compost has carefully balanced levels of nutrients, which promotes the relevant amount of growth without scorching the delicate roots of young plants.
Furthermore, our John Innes No. 1 blend can be used for short-term potting of your bedding and vegetables plants, which will be planted-on.
